RICHARD ADDAMS AND ALTIE OP-DEN-GRAEFF AND FAMILY

This family lived in Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania where Richard and Altie were married on the 10th of October in 1698. For a wedding present, Altie's father deeded them 91 acres of land in Germantown of Philadelphia County!

Pictures from Old Germantown: the Pastorius family residences are shown on the upper left (c. 1683) and upper right (c. 1715), the center structure is the house and printing business of the Caurs family (ca. 1735), and the bottom structure is the market place (c. 1820). From Wikipedia. [Pastorius was the teacher for the Germantown children and was highly praised for his efforts.]

All of their children were born in Philadelphia County and a list of their names follows below, however, I only know the birthdates of seven of them:

1698 Susannah, our ancestor
1705 William
1707 Abraham
1712 Isaac
1714 Elizabeth
1717 Margaret
1726 Ann
Catherine
Hannah
Mary

Evidently, Richard found it necessary to purchase more property totaling 150 acres of land and plantation.
