ANOTHER MARY ----------------?

Mary, the spouse of John Henry Pensinger, was born about 1792 in Franklin County,  Pennsylvania. She married her husband in 1820 when she was 28 years old. She and John had six children. Their four daughters were named: Rosanna, Mary Ann, Sarah A., and Elizabeth. Their two sons' names were James and John.

JOHN HENRY PENSINGER

J. H. Pensinger was born in April 1796 in Franklin County, Pennsylvania, near Greencastle. John married his wife, Mary, about 1820 in Pennsylvania and they began their family there:

Mary Ann b. 12 Mar 1835 in Franklin, PA
Sarah A. b. abt. 1839
John b. abt. 1841
Henry C. b. abt. 1843 in OH
Elizabeth b. abt. 1846 in OH

 I have written before about the relationship between this ancestor and William Mackey who both left Pennsylvania in the late 1830s for Zanesville, Ohio. Both families lived in Zanesville for about 10 years and then moved on to Morrow County, Ohio before 1850. The Pensingers and Mackeys were neighbors in the 1850 census of Washington Twp., Morrow, Ohio. 

John Henry died on the fourth of March 1852 in Washington Township, Ohio.

Katherine Leonard

Since I have found no evidence of Katherine's birth, I will use her marriage date of 1828 to estimate her possible birthdate, assuming that she, like other young females of those years, usually married at age 18. This brings her birthdate to about 1810.

 Katherine and  her husband, William Mackey, lived in Welsh Run, Montgomery Township, Franklin County, Pennsylvania and had four children:
James, born 1830
Elizabeth, b. 1833
 David Leonard, b. 1835
Sarah, b. 1836

Sad to say, Katherine lived a very short life. She died on April 1, 1838, supposedly at age 28.
